Many of you may have seen the flood images of Nashville, TN on the news. It did not seem to get a great deal of national attention. Locally, many areas hit the 500 year flood level and many residents in the area lost or had significant damage to their homes. What was truly amazing was how fast water can build up and how fast it can move. What was even more amazing is the response from the community to help one another. The term community seems to have changed its meaning over the years. Tennesseans live in a caring community. Within days, everyone I know was volunteering or working to help someone or some family. Families that were effected and unaffected filled donation centers with towels, clothes and furniture. Neighbors would drive buy homes and stop to help a neighbor with their home clean-up. Imagine surviving such a natural disaster when prior to the event you were homeless or hungry. It's easy to forget these people and families when the majority of families are in crisis. Every member of our team at North American Seminars, Inc volunteered or helped someone in need. Of course, they were not asked too, but their personal character and integrity guided their actions. It's my privilege to work with such extraordinary people. As a company, we volunteered in the local food shelter preparing and serving meals to families in need.
Last month, we launched our new physical therapy contining education courses online learning center. At the same time, we made a committment that every dime from our new online courses would go feed the homeless. This month, we financially supported one month of meals for a Nashville food shelter (approximately 2,000 meals!!) We plan to continue this support as long as we can. All revenue, not profit, from our online courses for physical therapists and occupational therapists will support our efforts to feed the homeless in Nashville. Being part of a community is a responsibility for our business. It's a great honor to live and work with people of such character and spirit.
Thank you for your support of our company and check out www.Healthclick.com for our fall course offerings.
